Frank Netherwood and Grant Bjornson, two retired guys who have been lifelong friends, have purchased a little fishing cottage on the beach in Florida.
Fishing has long been a passion of theirs and this place looks like the perfect retreat spot to regularly visit for some much needed rest and relaxation. On the very first night of their first fishing trip, immediately following a power outage, a mysterious doorway suddenly appears in the wall of the cottage that turns out to be a portal to adventures unexpected and unimaginable.
The two friends assume they are dreaming and decide to step through the door and a whole world of possibilities they’d never dreamed of unfolds before them. They find themselves in Ancient Scandinavia amongst Nordic Vikings and also discover a dangerous and important task for them to accomplish while they are there. The Portal is a fanciful story about an opportunity for two modern men to have a real adventure that will make an indelible mark in history.
