C. J. Hathaway, aka Coral Jade, is a very capable executive assistant. She is also single, and very attractive—a stunning young woman who is unaware of the effect she can have on men. Her boss, Samuel Adams, is a single and handsome mergers & acquisitions professional, who is very successful in an extremely lucrative line of work. As the story begins, C.J. has been working so hard she has arrived at the border of burnout. Concerned about her, C.J.’s best friend Sloan, a travel agent, persuades her to take a weeklong luxury cruise in the Caribbean. Her departure causes her boss, Sam Adams, to panic, not so much because he won’t have her help and assistance for a week, but because she just might find love, Caribbean style. When Sam Adams learns from C.J.’s friend, Sloan, that C.J. has met and is seeing a young man on the cruise, a man it turns out he knows and dislikes, he finds an excuse to fly to a Caribbean port and join the cruise midway through the week. It’s now or never, he realizes. He must tell C.J. he loves her—but will it be too late? The result is a love triangle full of twists, turns, and subplots that will keep you turning pages as the cruise ship makes its way from one sunny Caribbean port to another.
