Robert Benjamin Grand was born in the city of Grand Rapids, MN.

Now, together with his wife and two children, they live in Destin, Florida.

Robert is not a professional writer. One day his eldest son William started telling one of the tales to his sister. Robert was pleasantly surprised because long time ago he already told William almost the same story. The son changed the characters a little and the storyline but the essence remained the same. Olivia laid in her bed and listened attentively as her brother was telling the story. It won’t be fair if no one else in the world hears such a lovely fairy tale, - decided Robert. So that’s when he decided to write his first book about Willy the Dinosaur and the magic cake.
