Dawn Caldwell De Wulf has been writing for as long as she can remember, typing the vivid pictures in her head onto pages using her Poppie’s typewriter. As an only child, her companions were her books, and her imagination sprouted (just like Poppie’s carrots) from the fantastic adventures she read in them as they kept her company late into the night. De Wulf’s real-life adventure includes being born and raised in California. She now lives in Oregon and enjoys quality time with her five adult daughters (two sets of twins!), three stepchildren and four grandchildren. She loves big hugs and dancing in the rain, and although she still loves books, her best friend now is her husband, Henry.
